Dr. Andrew Thomas was born in Denver, Colorado but was raised in Katy, Texas. Growing up much of his time was spent as an athlete competing in both football, and track and field at the local and state levels. Dr. Thomas decided to attend Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. College Station is also where Dr. Thomas met his wife Dr. Christina Thomas.
Following college, Dr. Thomas earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Upon graduation he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Thomas decided to remain in Houston and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Dr. Thomas is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society and the Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Thomas regularly attends continuing education courses to update and refine his clinical skills and knowledge. He is certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. Dr. Thomas puts a strong focus on dentoalveolar surgery, extraction of teeth, dental implants, advanced bone grafting, dental and facial trauma, and the treatment of pathology.
Dr. Thomas and his wife, Dr. Christina Thomas, live in Bellaire, Texas. As Aggies, they enjoy supporting Texas A&M University and routinely attend various sporting events in College Station. When Dr. Thomas is not working, he enjoys traveling, cooking and anything to do with the outdoors.
